Grocery Store Flowers

Lately I have been noticing that floral arrangements have become very simple and casual. With the amazing array of flowers now available at most local grocery stores and markets it's easier than ever to whip up a few arrangements for a dinner party, bridal shower or even a wedding.

Here are a few inspirational photos I have been saving for when I need ideas for a quick and inexpensive floral design.

  Plastic or metal buckets for that shabby chic/country look.

   Use grandma's cups and saucers or buy a few at Goodwill .( I always see them there)

                                                                                 **                                                                                             Mercury glass adds sparkle. Super inexpensive at Home Sense.

For impact use all one colour or all one flower in multiples of the same vessel. Try Home Sense, Home Goods, Ikea or even the dollar store for inexpensive vases. Also adding a ton of sparkly votives amps up the drama.

Don't you love this? The lanters are amazing. Notice the variety of vases and how simply the flowers are arranged.

            I recently saw square glass vases at an independent dollar store near my house for 2 bucks each!

Add a single bloom or a sprig of herb to a folded napkin.

Repurpose old jars as vases.

 Wouldn't this table be great for a guys graduation party? It's so hard to find inspiration for a masculine party.

 A single bloom floating in a simple white bowl; sprinkle 5 or 8 of them down the center of the table. It doesn't get any cheaper or easier than this.
