For a design enthusiast like me, it was a dream come true. It was like being in the biggest, shiniest, most gorgeous candy store ever!
As I took it all in, I noticed a few major trends happening in the design world.

The twig chandelier was stunning and it can be custom made in any size or colour. Available from Living Lighting on King in Toronto.

All faucets from Brizo.
Polished chrome is still big, but also black, bronze and mixed finishes including glass are hot for 2013.
The kitchen and bath booths were crazy good. I could hardly believe my eyes!
The Jason Wu bath collection was done in matte black and combined clean
lines, with a touch of ornamentation in the form of a silhouette of a
baroque flower. The stark black faucet is striking against white.
I was so
busy snapping photos of products that the only photo I managed to get of
myself at the event is above. Do you see me in the mirror?

I was happy to see a variety of metals being used with a trend to softer, more burnished finishes.
Don't be afraid to mix metals in a room; I saw many examples of this at the show.
After seeing all this gorgeousness we were treated to a delicious lunch.
What could be better than lobster ravioli and chocolate cake?
Have a great day everyone!
I really like the faucet with glass handles. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the design of the faucets are so sleek. Especially the one with the glass handles!
