I was over at Seleta's blog and read that she has the same problem, her suggestion was to try Channel. I tried the Rouge Coco Shine line and found that my lips didn't peel, but after a couple of hours were very dry.
I tried a few brands available at Whole Foods as well as many others and they all ended up hurting my lips.
I was getting tired of using only chapstick and wanted a little colour, especially in the winter when I am so pale. I recently found the Canadian company Bite Beauty which sells all natural lipstick and gloss and thought I would give them a try.
I purchased their Lush Lip Tint in Black Currant.
At first I tried just a little to see if I would react and I was pleasantly surprised that my lips were fine. It goes on smooth and provides long lasting sheer colour. That little 'B' in the center is resveratrol an antioxidant found in red wine.
The line is free of: Parabens
Sulfates
Synthetic Fragrances
Synthetic Dyes
Petrochemicals
Phthalates
Triclosan
Bite Beauty has other products too that I will definitely be trying soon.
Available at Sephora.
Seleta has a very interesting post this week on red lipstick, read it here.
I am off to the Toronto Interior Design Show today, come back on Monday for lots of photos of what's new and hot in the design world.
Happy Weekend!
