Thanksgiving

It's just now starting to feel like autumn in my neighbourhood. The leaves are falling, houses are decorated with mums and pumpkins are popping up on doorsteps.

This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving.
If you are Canadian it means numerous trips to the grocery store where you brave crowds all looking for the same items...pumpkin pie, whipping cream and crazily enough, green beans! Every year without fail the stores run out of these items. In the past I have been known to travel all over the city looking for fresh green beans. You think I would have learned by now not to include them in my Thanksgiving menu!
Here are a few Thanksgiving ideas...

For a cute novice's guide to Thanksgiving check out Style Me Pretty: The Magazine here,
where you will find an e book of how to pull off a simple and stylish celebration.

For easy and inexpensive fall decorating use branches of leaves or berries cut from your property.

Get out the spray paint! You don't need to stick with orange, customize pumpkins to your colour scheme.

I love this modern white and gold table.

And if you are crafty...(or even if you are not) try making these...
All you need is a stamp from the dollar section at Michaels, a stamp pad, ribbon and paper. Punch holes in the paper and thread a piece of ribbon through to make a napkin ring. Add your guests names for place cards.

This is a great idea. Decorate napkins with a stamp or personalize with your monogram
